Watching parents grow and be excited [through Greenville First Steps supported parenting classes] to learn how to care for their children and work on changing the way they were raised has been motivation to continue working with individuals to break their generational trauma and build healthy families.
We just moved, and I am a single mom. I had to do 95% of the moving myself, and most days were very tiring. The book The Little Engine that Could was the book of the month, and when it came in the mail the last day of our move, I just had to laugh. It was my FAVORITE growing up, and it gave me such an encouragement boost to make it through! My daughter now knows she CAN if she puts her mind to it!
