In compliance with the SC statute, up to nine Greenville First Steps Board members are appointed by the Greenville Legislative Delegation. Appointments are accepted through the Legislative Delegation Office and approved in accordance with their processes and procedures. These appointments include a designee from the SC Department of Social Services, SC Department of Public Health, SHARE Head Start, and five at large community members. Additionally, the Greenville County School District Board of Trustees appoints one member, and the Greenville County Council appoints an employee from the Greenville Library System. Additionally, the Greenville First Steps Board of Directors elects four additional community members to serve on the board. These members are nominated through the Greenville First Steps Executive Committee. To nominate someone to serve on the board, send an email to
